Food security has, for more than 30 years, been among the pressing issues for most Filipinos. The looming food crisis due to the impact of global pandemic and recently, the war in Ukraine have aggravated the condition to a level where we need to rethink of innovative ways to restore, rebuild, recover, and strengthen our hold and stand towards feeding our nation. As an archipelagic tropical country, we are endowed with resources conducive for agriculture. However, we have yet to maximize the full potentiality of agriculture as a driving force of our economy. We have resources, we have skills, we have abilities. As the saying goes “Nasa Diyos ang Awa, Nasa Tao ang Gawa.”
