Nananatiling mataas ang tiwala at pag-asa ni Senator Imee Marcos na may mga bagong henerasyon ng magsasaka sa bansa.
Kasunod ito ng kanyang pakikipagdayalogo sa mga benepisyaryo ng Young Farmers Challenge Program sa Pampanga State Agricultural University.
Ayon sa senadora, kailangan ang naturang programa upang makapanghikayat sa mga kabataan na sumabak sa agri-fishery at livestock innovation.
“I know there are many who doubt if we will be able to uplift the agricultural sector in the near future, especially with the current rice crisis, many of our countrymen are hungry, and there’s no immediate solution".
“But for as long as there are committed young Filipino farmers out there who are willing to keep our agriculture sector alive, my hope will always remain high,”
